Organizational Conference
WHO: Survivors of sexual abuse, their families, friends, supporters, and
all citizens concerned with helping prevent sexual abuse of children and vulnerable adults.
WHAT: The conference will be a day of healing for survivors of sexual abuse. For those concerned with the topic of sexual abuse, this conference is a chance to unite with other people who are dedicated to healing and protection. This is also a way for survivors and supporters to learn the necessary tools to enact legislation that will ensure the safety of children and vulnerable adults while bringing healing to those affected by sexual abuse. Speakers will include prominent members of the survivor advocacy community, including representatives from New York State Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NYSCASA), and others.
THIS CONFERENCE IS FREE AND ALL SURVIVORS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND ADVOCATES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.
WHEN: The conference will be on Saturday, May 17, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m, in Manhattan.
