Can you stand in court with a silent lamb?

On November 11, 2003 Howard Kanehe a Jehovah's Witness in good standing was convicted of molesting his daughter, in addition, his step daughter also offered testimony of her molestation but her testimony was kicked out due to the statue of limitations in California. This was used as a basis to mount an appeal of the original sentencing.   When the younger daughter made known she was going to press charges her father beat her and afterward her Jehovah's Witness mother forced her out of the home, she had to live in her car till her sisters offered assistance.  The mother has since disowned her daughters (the sisters remain baptized JWs in good standing) remains married to the convicted child molester, goes to court to offer him support and is auxiliary pioneering this month.   Monday was to be the sentencing hearing and the Judge moved the sentencing hearing to Friday due to the large number of Jehovah's Witnesses that wished to offer character statements for the child molester.  Court will start at 8:30 am Friday November 11, you can find directions to the courthouse below.  If you need to find a motel we are also including a possible suggestion in that regard as well.  At silentlambs we are asking for anyone that can do so too attend the court proceeding to support the victims of this pedophile.  To date no one has appeared to support them in court in the two years of legal proceeding it took to get this molester convicted.  If you cannot attend but would like to send an encouraging word to them you can do so at info@silentlambs.org we will be glad to make sure they get your comments.

These young women should be supported and we are asking anyone that can to be there at the Riverside District court and stand with them on their side of the courtroom.  Up to this point they have stood alone against the intimidation tactics of the local misguided Jehovah's Witnesses.  We are asking each person that attends to bring a toy lamb to represent the victims of abuse.

We ask for your help and support to not let these brave women stand alone.  If you can attend or help with this in anyway please contact silentlambs as quickly as possible or call 270-703-2257.
