As a former witness I know that what is being published on
this website to be true. I knew of a case in Michigan
where a young
girl was being sexually abused by her stepfather and
it was pushed under the carpet. She was the one that was
blamed
and the step
father was left in good standing. This is the ultimate
in
spiritual abuse. The WT Society is responsible for many
abuses. DK

Thank goodness at last someone has the courage to stand up
and be counted. Many, many people have been sexually
and mentally abused and told to keep silent, don't bring reproach
on gods
name. The organization that has used his name reproaches
it with
their very existence as an organization that refuses
to
accept the truth. . . . . men who are elders are not appointed
by god
they are elected by bodies of elders. Giving them this
false 'authority' leads
to the catalogue of injustice and abuse being exposed
all over the world. They are not capable of dealing with these
matters,
the sooner the congregations recognize the injustice
the
better. But they won't listen, after all any criticism
no matter how
valid is 'apostate, I am so relieved that our family
who between us served over 200 years are all free at last, free
at last.
Only by the presence of websites like this will others
be given the strength to make the break and maintain their
freedom
from
the oppression of a mind control cult that preaches truth
and freedom but delivers falsehood and oppression

I am a former JW and was attending that congregation in calvert
city and have always had a creepy feeling (for lack of a better
word) about xxxx. He & his daughter were too close as a father & daughter.
I wish I had said something back then. I was disfellowshipped
for adultery and you, xxx and xxxx made up my judicial committee
and even then, xxxx wanted too many "details" of my
escapades. I even went to him (before being disfellowshipped)
about a young girl in the congregation who, I felt, was being
physically & mentally abused, although not sexually, and
he basically just blew me off. Apparently, someone was not doing
their homework when they appointed him as a elder. The way I
see it, they are no better than the Mormons (you should see the
video on the Mormons & how they murder family members who
go against them). But, God sees all things that have happened
and Godly justice will prevail. I thank God that I am now saved
and see the truth about all false religions.

I was a JW for 22 years. I left on my own accord. It was not
easy. . . nothing is when you deal with the WT Organization.
I have suffered much mentally but most importantly, I have
suffered
spiritually. I was so happy to (by chance) come across

Without boring you with details, I happened to come across
your web site after looking up information on disfellowshipping.
I
have been a Jehovah's Witness for nearly 30 years, my
wife has been a Witness all of her life, the last 2 years I
have been
totally inactive because this same kind of mentality.
I have seen children hurt and then marked as evil when in their
later years decided that they had had enough. I am not
disfellowshipped
nor have I disassociated myself, when dealing with the
Bible
I believe that Jehovah's Witnesses represent it as correctly
as any human can, but I do take issue with their dogma
and general mentality that promotes paranoia and despair,
this
does not promote
good mental health and I don't believe that this is God's
way.
The information on your web site is an encouragement
that not everyone in the organization is walking around with
blinders
on, I hope that it helps those who have been victimized
in such a brutal way. I don't see the organization ever
changing it's
position, it hasn't over the past century, it's mentality
won't
allow it.

I have just looked at your site and I'm both horrified that
this happens but not surprised. I was brought up as
a JW but left at
the age of 13. Still today I my life is continually
bombarded by my father who is an elder who to me has got himself
into such a high position of authority, no-one will dare
to question
him.
He appears on the outside to be all nice things but
I
all too often see the other side. I don't think I was abused
as
a child
but my grandmother certainly threatened to notify the
authorities if he did not cease to hit me to the point
of bruising,(
ruled with the rod), come on, he broke a spade over my
dogs back
when it ran away. I can truly believe that things like
the ones reported
on your site are covered up because i have confronted
him with other things about members of his religion and
he has
done
NOTHING about them! Thanks for putting this site together.

I find a great good that will come from this web site and its
contents. I was a Jehovah's Witness for thirty years,
till my own daughter was abused and I was not in proper health
to cope
from the stress of the situation because of a post brain
operation, my daughter and her older sister went to the
Elders
for help
but they demanded they not speak of it no more. My older
daughter took the information to the proper authorities.
Sense that
time I have had nothing to do with this religion, I was
not in a position
to help my family for lack of strength, I could not rely
on them to do what a reasonable person or persons would
do under
the

Sad to say, I am also a JW sexual abuse survivor. I was brutally
raped by a 'brother' who six months after the attack, got married
in a full JW ceremony at the KH. I reported it to the elders
by the urging of my sister who I had confided in. It turned out
to be a horrible nightmare. I was interrogated for for 3 days,
4 hours at a time. I asked them if they had interrogated my abuser,
they said 'he denied doing anything, and they cannot punish him
unless he confesses to raping me. " In the end they disfellowshipped
me. Just before doing so, they gave him back full privileges
at the KH. I appealed this decision but the appeal process was
another nightmare I had to live through. I wrote a letter to
Milton Herschel describing the entire situation and asking whether
this is the Watchtower's policy on the treatment of rape victims.
I never received a reply. Shortly after I was demoted at my job
for not being able to perform. I was already depressed and had
became suicidal. My mother advised me not to go to the police
because 'this would bring reproach on Jehovah's name. ' She hid
the entire situation from my father (who was never a JW). I eventually
sought professional help which for the first time helped me to
see myself outside of this cult. The counseling I received did
wonders for my self esteem. As I write this email, my heart aches.
I have read the press releases from the Watchtower society and
seen their repeated lies regarding their policy. I am thankful
now that I am not apart of this sad organization. I truly pity
those stuck inside of it (including most of my immediate family).

one religion. My grandchild was molested by her father
at 16 months
old, she told at 26 months old, she already had ptsd,

To the Poster Nov 30. Yes I agree with you that the Pedophiles
and those who protect them have wreaked havoc on women and children
and even the good men who want to protect them. In my own case
this has proved true. You mention Dr. Gardner. You are totally
correct in your estimation of this evil man. He was the "expert
witness" for the pedophile and the religious elders protecting
him. He did everything to try to convince the jury that the victim
was lying, schizophrenic, etc. and actually came out in his testimony
in the courtroom saying incest does not harm the victim. It was
the parents who psychologically harmed the victim by severing
her bond with her molesting grandfather. DR. GARDNER is a pedophiles
advocate.
