Each year the SNAP Conference gets better. The event is healing, consoling, informational and fun! For many survivors it opens new perspectives that become life-changing. It is a chance to connect with survivors from around the world and share experiences. Hundreds of folks attend and everyone is welcome, including survivors, family members, supporters, concerned Catholics, therapists, and educators. The Conference will include guest speakers, workshops, small group discussions and many chances to share s tori es and ask questions.

Conference speakers will include Fr. Thomas Doyle, Law Professor Marci Hamilton, investigative reporter Jason Berry, author Martin Moran and others TBA. The weekend will also include screenings of two renowned documentaries, "Twist of Faith" and "Holy Watergate."

SNAP group leaders (spokespersons and support group coordinators) will meet on Friday, June 10 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. The full SNAP conference for ALL members begins Friday evening at 7:00 and goes through noon on Sunday.

REGISTRATION FEES:

The cost of the conference is $125. Conference fee includes 4 meals, and entrance to all workshops, speeches and support group meetings.

We have located less expensive sleeping rooms in Chicago for Friday and Saturday nights only.

The cost is $55 per person for a single room and $40 per person for a double room.

These rooms are in a Catholic Retreat Center that is approximately a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride on public transportation from the Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart. (Please note that there is an L station right in the Merchandise Mart.) The Retreat Center is at: 513 W. Fullerton Parkway , Chicago , IL 60614 .

If you would like to reserve sleeping space at this sight please contact us right away. You will need to make arrangements to pay for these rooms when you make the reservation.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:

The conference will be held at the Holiday Inn in downtown Chicago . There is a special SNAP room rate of $119 for single or double. Participants wanting to stay longer can receive the same rate for three nights before and/or after the conference.

NOTE: The Holiday Inn has limited room capacity. Register ASAP to be sure you have accommodations.

The hotel sits on the Chicago River and is within walking distance of the magnificent mile, restaurants and shopping. Chicago is an easy destination, with cheap flights into two major airports and within easy driving distance from many Midwestern cities.

Contact the hotel directly to arrange accommodations. Be sure to ask for the special rate for the SNAP conference.
