Silentlambs Participates in National SNAP Convention!

Silentlambs will attend the national convention of SNAP (Survivors Network for those Abused by Priests) on June 11-13 in Denver Colorado . William H. Bowen will speak on the topic,

“Is it possible Jehovah’s Witnesses are far Worse than Main-Stream Religion When Dealing with Child Abuse?”

The presentation will include documentation from Watchtower spokesmen, never before seen letters and materials to show how the policy of Jehovah’s Witnesses have allowed thousands of children to be harmed as well as continues to do so. We invite supporters of silentlambs to plan on being there for the entire conference. Several healing workshops and much assistance will be offered. At our international convention in Nashville TN , we highlighted the importance of reaching out to interact with other abuse survivor organizations to help educate others about this issue. You can have a part and stand with fellow abuse survivors in finding support and healing in dealing with abuse. At the last SNAP National convention in the summer of 2003 after making a presentation about Jehovah’s Witnesses silentlambs received a standing ovation for the work that is being done to help educate others on the abuse problem. As you can see education and standing together is the key to helping protect children. The public and other abuse groups need to be educated about the plight of Jehovah’s Witness children and abuse survivors. By meeting and speaking out we help others to find their strength. We encourage you to plan on attending the 2004 National Conference in Denver . As for the many that attended last year it will be a moment they will not forget and were very proud to be part of.

in Denver , CO

Friday June 11 - Sunday June 13, 2004

Healing, Fun and Informative

Featuring Conference Sessions, a Delegate Assembly, Renowned Speakers and Support Group Meetings

Survivors, friends and family of survivors, Catholic laity, and general public welcome. Some sessions will be for survivors or their loved one only, with alternative sessions offered for others.

SNA P group leaders (spokespersons and support group coordinators) will meet on Friday, June 11 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm . The full SNA P conference for ALL members begins Friday evening and goes through mid-day Sunday.

Cost of conference is $125, which includes Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner. This does not include hotel accommodations.

Register on-line by May 11th, and fee is just $75.
Register May 12 - May 20, and the fee is just $90.
